Museum Exhibition Space

Client: The American Museum of Natural History

Project Location: New York, New York

Architect: CR Studios Architects

Project Size: 5,000 square feet

Project Notes: Engineering Services were provided for the conversion of museum retail space into a “hands-on” exhibition for children. Included in the Engineering Services were the design of new chilled water air handling and distribution systems for space cooling and ventilation, new electric distribution, new lighting and lighting control systems and new wet pipe sprinkler distribution. As a new exhibition space within the museum, all mechanical and electrical elements were carefully coordinated with both the Architectural and Exhibition packages.

Engineering Services were provided on numerous other unrelated projects directly to the museum for office spaces, laboratory space and an environmentally and temperature controlled off-site archive storage.
